- Download the Form: Get the official notification and application form from the PDF.
- Fill the Application with required information
- Attach Documents: Add self-attested copies – education certificates, caste certificate (if applicable), date of birth proof (10th certificate), experience (if any).
- Photos: Paste one recent passport-size photo on the form and one on the admit card. Self-attest them.
- Envelope: Use a self-addressed envelope (10.5cm x 25cm) with Rs. 10 postal stamp.
- Pack Everything: Put the form, admit card, documents, and envelope in a bigger envelope.
- Label: Write on the main envelope: “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF _______” (fill your post name).
- Send: Mail via ordinary post only to: Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME), PIN – 900 453, c/o 56 APO. No speed or registered post.
Education/Age Eligibility
- Education:
- Lower Division Clerk (LDC): 12th pass; typing speed 35 wpm English or 30 wpm Hindi on computer.
- Stenographer Grade-II: 12th pass; skill in dictation and transcription.
- Laboratory Assistant: Graduate in Science (PCM) or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics Engineering.
- Civilian Motor Driver (OG): 10th pass; heavy vehicle driving license + 2 years experience.
- Bootmaker Equipment Repairer: 10th pass; skills in canvas, textile, leather repairs.
- Barber: 10th pass; barber trade skills.
- MTS & Tradesmen Mate: 10th pass.
- Age Limit:
- 18 to 25 years as of closing date.
- Relaxation: SC/ST: +5 years; OBC: +3 years; PwBD: +10 years (more for reserved); Ex-Servicemen: as per rules; Departmental: up to 40 years.
Selection Process
- Tier 1: Written Exam (OMR based) – Objective MCQs, 150 marks, 2 hours. Negative marking: 0.25 per wrong answer.
- For LDC, Steno, Lab Asst, Driver: General Intelligence (25Q/25M), Awareness (25Q/25M), English (50Q/50M), Numerical (50Q/50M).
- For Bootmaker, Barber, MTS, Mate: Intelligence (50Q/50M), Awareness (50Q/50M), English (25Q/25M), Numerical (25Q/25M).
- Tier 2: Skill/Trade Test – Qualifying only.
- LDC: Typing test.
- Steno: Dictation (80 wpm) and transcription.
- Others: Practical trade test. No marks added to merit.
Shortlisting based on qualification marks; only shortlisted get admit cards.
Salary
- Based on 7th CPC.
- Level 4 (Rs. 25,500–81,100): Steno, Lab Assistant.
- Level 2 (Rs. 19,900–63,200): LDC, Driver.
- Level 1 (Rs. 18,000–56,900): Others.
- Benefits: Dearness Allowance (50%), HRA (27% in Secunderabad), Transport Allowance, NPS, medical, LTC, paid leaves. Total pay is attractive.
